Haneda Airport (HND) - Monorail

Tokyo Haneda International Airport is located about 20 km from Tokyo city centre. HND Airport counts with a Monorail station within the Airport which leads you to Tokyo city centre. Concretely, the Monorail is connecting Haneda Airport with Hamamtsucho Station (JR Yamanote line). It works everyday with a frequency of 4 minutes from 05:12h in the morning until 00:10h at night.

There are 3 Monorail types you can take at Haneda Airport:

- Haneda Express: this one makes a non-stop trip from Haneda Airport to Hamamtsucho and the other way around in just 15 minutes. It is indicated with the red colour.

- Rapid Monorail: indicated with the orange colour.

- Local Monorail: it stops and waits for Haneda Express to pass at Showajima Station.


Haneda Monorail Tickets

At Haneda Airport, at the Monorail station, you can find the following Monorail ticket types:

- One-way ticket: valid for one ride during one day. It costs 160 Yens, which is equal to 1,30 euros, 1,10 pounds and 1,50 dollars.

- Returning ticket: it is valid for Haneda Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 during 10 days, for other stations valid for 2 weeks.

- Ordinari multiple-trip ticket: it is valid during 3 months and it goes in books of 11. One adult multiple-trip ticket can be used for up to 2 children.

- School multiple-trip ticket: it is valid during 2 months, it goes in books of 11. One adult multiple-trip ticket can be used for up to 2 children. For the discount you should present your University of Japan certificate.

- Commuter pass: it is ideal if you need to take often suburban monorails. You can buy it at the machines.

- Group ticket: you can but it up to 21 days in advance. It is valid just the use day.
